CLIMATE CHANGE DASHBOARD Part 1 — For The World

Humans are visual learners. Until everyone has access to data about climate change at their fingertips, it is hard to take action, see if anything is being done and know what climate change even is until it's too late.

A climate change dashboard would be beneficial for people to understand what climate change is and what is being done to mitigate its effects.

The vision here is a one-stop shop for as much information about climate conditions and actions taken to mitigate the effects, as possible.

When asked DALL-E, what some good samples of such a dashboard might look like, this is what it came up with:

DALL-E Prompt: dashboard for a climate change website, showing temperature and pollution stats, climate news, climate twitter stream and a world map
DALL-E Prompt: climate change dashboard, with temperature and pollution stats, climate news, climate twitter stream and a world map

Surprisingly, it is very similar to something I came up with, however, before I ever saw the samples from DALL-E. For some reason, it felt kind of validating.

Rough Ideation

The development and launch of this dashboard will be shared in this series. We will discuss:

  • the draft phase and ideation,
  • data source research,
  • technology selection,
  • roadmap and design refinement,
  • website development,
  • integrations with APIs,
  • data analytics, and much more.

Watch out for more here.
